1 Weighted Grade Calculation

Final Grade = (Grade₁ × Weight₁ + Grade₂ × Weight₂ + ...) ÷ 100

Example: Homework: 85% (20%), Midterm: 78% (30%), Project: 92% (50%)

= (85×0.20) + (78×0.30) + (92×0.50) = 86.4%

Required = (Desired - Current × (100 - Final Weight)) ÷ Final Weight

Example: Current: 82%, Desired: 85%, Final weight: 30%

= (85 - 82×0.70) ÷ 0.30 = 92%

How do I calculate my weighted grade?

Multiply each grade by its weight, add them together, and divide by 100. Example: 85%×20% + 90%×30% = 44% (out of 50% total).

Do weights need to equal 100%?

Yes, for accurate results. The calculator will show a warning if your weights don't equal 100%.
